Jeff Green announced on LinkedIn Thursday that he was appointed chief operating officer of Airbus U.S. Space & Defense.
Career Highlights
Before joining Airbus, Green served as the vice president of production and manufacturing operations at QinetiQ. In this capacity, he oversaw the company’s overall operations, including manufacturing, production, site leadership, manufacturing engineering, quality, planning, inventory, supply chain, facilities, environmental health and safety, capital budgets, continuous improvement, footprint & strategy.
The new COO spent the first 15 years of his career working at various companies associated with RTX. He was most recently part of RTX subsidiary Collins Aerospace for over seven years as the director of operations and strategy for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance & space solutions. He also served as the associate director and general manager for Boeing, Airbus and Rolls-Royce operations.
Green was with Raytheon as senior manager of contracts and with United Technologies Corp.’s Aerospace Systems division as a senior commodity manager and manager of executive programs. UTC and Raytheon completed their merger in 2020 to form Raytheon Technologies, which eventually became RTX.
The executive also spent nearly two years at Pratt & Whitney, also an RTX business, as country and program manager for India. Green started his career at UTC in 2008, holding various managerial positions.
