Leidos has appointed Josh Salmanson, a federal IT industry leader, as vice president of its defensive cyber practice.
The company said Wednesday Salmanson will leverage Leidos’ full-spectrum cyber capabilities to accelerate the delivery of high-value platforms designed to improve the cyber defense postures of government and commercial clients.
He will also align the company’s cyber capabilities with the core functions of defensive cyber operations: identify, protect, detect, respond and recover.
Steve Hull, president of the digital modernization sector at Leidos and a 2025 Wash100 awardee, welcomed the addition of Salmanson to the company.
“His proven expertise in cybersecurity innovation and his deep understanding of both offensive and defensive cyber operations has already made a significant difference both within DigMod and across Leidos. His team will be instrumental in rapidly delivering solutions to securely and resiliently defend customer missions,” added Hull.
