Cedric Sims Named Emagine IT CEO

Bethesda, Maryland-based Emagine IT has appointed Cedric Sims, a more than 25-year public sector leader, as CEO.

In this capacity, Sims will oversee efforts to help deepen EIT’s commitment to plug-and-play innovation, mission-aligned delivery and operational efficiency in support of federal IT customers.

EIT has provided secure, scalable platforms in enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence-driven automation and digital transformation for government and private sector clients for over two decades.

Who Is Emagine IT’s New Chief Executive Officer?

Sims most recently served as senior vice president for enterprise innovation and integration at MITRE, where he supported federal agencies through cybersecurity, AI-driven policy and scalable tech platforms. In this role, he led the nonprofit’s Corporate Strategy Office and Centers for Strategic Competition and Data-Driven Policy.

Before joining MITRE, he was senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led the justice, homeland security and transportation business.

Prior to Booz Allen, Sims served as president of Evermay Consulting Group.

His government career included time holding leadership positions at the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Secret Service.

The new chief executive of EIT holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and journalism and a doctorate in engineering from Texas A&M University.
